Whole Grain French Toast Recipe

This is one of my very favorite breakfast recipes. It feels so bad..but it’s atually good.

French Toast is pretty much an indulgence for most of us. You know…one of the few things you only eat on vacation bsecause c alories don’t count on vacation, right?

But this version you can everyday if you want. And if you’ve got the timo to crack a few eggs.

Whole Grain French Toast

2 slices whole GRAIN bread..not whole wheat….most whole wheat shelf stable breads are as bad as white bread

1 egg beaten

Cinnamon and sugar / substitute to taste

1 tbsp coconut oil (or any other oil/fat to cook in)

Mix the cinnamon and sweetner with the egg. I usually don’t use any sweetner at all..but this is the time to add it)

Toast the bread..dip in egg mixture and cook a few minutes on each side.

Viola! Dust with powdered sugar..top with organic honey or maple syrup and you have a super charged healthy breakfast that tastes like vacation but is really a flat belly food.
